Why are you interested in becoming an Empathy Circle Facilitator?
I'm wanting to deepen my experience and learn more about Restorative EC's.
beside living NVC as a path of my career, empathy circle is such a healing process for myself and I would like to spread it out.
Peace, Congruence, Integrity, LOVE, Compassion
I believe that it would be a solution to some of the lack of trust due to racism and lack of professional development to address the white supremacy culture that exists in our organization
To help build a culture of empathy and also deepen my listening skills. To offer a space for people to really be heard and learn more about listening.
Because I want to spread the knowledge and help as many people as possible to experience this king of listening and being listened to
Where would you like to facilitate Empathy Circles?
With Zoom... anywhere!
Viet Nam both offline and online
On campus at Michigan State University, through zoom until we are able to reopen. Theen in small group setting throughout campus.
On zoom for now.
I would like to facilitate Empathy Circles both in organizations (in the corporate world) as well as with fellow psychotherapists or people without a background in psychotherapy but who want to find out more about empathy
What do you see as the benefits of Empathy Circles?
They circumvent the conflict that comes of dialogue/conversation and open a space for understanding to grow.

One of the greatest things that has come out in all of my training in anti-racism work and trying to help change our culture, not being heard and the hurt that it has created and built up over the years is how I see Empathy Circles being very impactful.
EC's offer a space and a structure for people to express genuinely and be heard.
It is a way of being with the other that few people had the chance to experience and I see it extremely beneficial in mediating and avoiding conflicts by simply learning to really listen to what the other has to bring on the table

I believe that before you even get to the application, that you should tell the applicants that they have to attend empathy circles before they fill out the application.
